During the 1996 "Grapes of Wrath" Operation, when terrorist's Katusha rockets were falling on Israeli Lebanese border cities and towns, Leyden suggested to Packard Bell and Shani Technologies to install computers and Internet access into the air raid bunkers so that the children would have a connection with the outside world.

This public relations campaign was quickly picked up by the global media and the Internet was now being used in a war theater to aid a civilian population. Putting the PR campaign aside, we were delighted that the use of Internet eased the fear and terror that the children were being subjected to and provided them with many smiles.
